THE GALAPAGOS ISLANDS

From white sandy beaches inhabited by playful sea lions to dramatic lava formations where iguanas bask in the sun, the Galapagos Islands are one of the world’s most captivating natural destinations. They have remained largely untouched by man, with lush highlands where giant tortoises roam and magnificent underwater landscapes where tropical fish, manta rays and sea turtles can be discovered.

The archipelago’s stunning landscapes are preserved by the Galapagos National Park, and the marine reserve ensures both resident and migratory species are protected from fishing activities. The result is a nature lover’s paradise both above and below the water where unique and endemic species have evolved to inspire countless travelers since Charles Darwin’s groundbreaking visit in 1835.
